Vastness
"If people sat outside and looked at the stars each night, I’ll bet they’d live a lot differently." – Calvin & Hobbes
There’s something humbling about the night sky. It reminds us how small we are, yet how boundless our thoughts can be.
The vastness above stretches far beyond our understanding, and in that endless expanse, I always find a strange comfort—like music, it doesn’t need explanation to move us.
I often think about what it means to exist in something so infinite.
The weight of time, the silence of space, the way light travels across centuries just to reach us. These ideas stayed with me long enough that they became music.
Some years ago, I composed a piece inspired by the inexplicable size of the universe. It is called Vastness. You can listen to it at the top of my Piano Peace playlist which is right here.
Let me know what you feel when you hear it.
Have a great day,
Claudio.
