The torment

“I wish I could throw off the thoughts which poison my happiness, but I take a kind of pleasure in indulging them.”

Often, some of the most privileged minds are also among the most tormented. Is it because they have an extra level of sensitivity?

Too much awareness?

Are they too afflicted by the torments of this world?

Is it hard for them to come to terms with what seems to be a random distribution of privileges and burdens?

This quote is by a highly sensitive individual: Frédéric Chopin.

Of course, I didn’t know him. He died in 1839. But one doesn’t need but listen to a fragment of his music to know that Chopin might have been one of the most sensitive people ever to exist.

Some people think Chopin’s music cannot be played on any other instrument than the piano.

But, I don´t agree.

Listen to this and tell me if it doesn´t suit this instrument perfectly…

Enjoy, and have a great day.

Claudio.
