Softly

A sky with dark clouds, bearing an unfulfilled premonition of rain, loom over the sky outside a candlelit room. He puts his headphones on.

The trees dance in circles in a windy trance, their leaves twisting and twirling.

But nothing could disturb him in his peace, the music gently playing in his ears.

Thoughts, sounds, and memories, softly merge together.

The tranquil sound of the piano combined with the faraway melodies of a lonely bandoneon, the sound of nostalgia…

“Softly” is my newest composition, and it´s just been released today. A calm, minimalist piece for piano and bandoneon, evocative of the past, with a new sound, looking ahead to the future.
