Sleep
A lot of people struggle with sleep.
Because sleep requires peace.
I´ve had my share of troubles with sleep throughout the years. I still do. Very much.
My mind is so full of thoughts and ideas, unprocessed emotions, to-do lists, unfinished melodies… they all have a way of finding a voice in my mind as soon as I lay my head on my pillow.
When I slept in my own bedroom by myself, many years ago, I used to put music before going to sleep. I would fall asleep to the sound of music. Music made me imagine things. Some were very realistic, others quite fantastic.
This put me inevitably in a peaceful mood and forced me to pay attention to only one thing. It relaxed me.
Whenever I´m away on tour and have to sleep by myself in a hotel room, I take the opportunity to put on some music. I fall asleep quickly and feel rested when I wake up.
It´s hard to have a peaceful mind in stressful times. And adult life carries lots of stressful times with it. It´s inevitable.
So, if you struggle with sleep, there´s a tip for you…
