Sevilla

Seville is a magical city.

The beauty, the history… the heat!

Going for a walk there at any moment in August requires superhuman stamina and bravery (add a bit of foolishness into the equation).

Performing a concert there at 22:30 in the evening, with 35 degrees and not a single bit of breeze, was tough.

However, it was greatly compensated by the beauty of the program (Bach), which I must say was matched by the beauty of the setting: the gardens of the historical Royal Palace of Seville: the Alcazar, with the old medieval walls as the background to my stage.

My audience consisted of about 600 people (sold out), a few cats, a family of ducks, a couple of peacocks, and a clever mosquito stinging my face, knowing perfectly well that I can´t kill it while my hands are busy playing the Toccata and Fugue.

Critics loved it, apparently. I was even named as the nr.1 bandoneonist in the world by one of them; which is of course a bunch of nonsense, but I do appreciate the nice words and good intentions.

And I was especially happy to present my new album, which was released on that same day. The organizers told me that I had broken the record of album sales at a concert for any artist or band that had been there, so that was a great honor for me and I felt truly grateful and happy.

It was a magical night, in a magical city.

If you want to purchase a copy of my new Bach album, the link is here. They´re running our fast, (which is a blessing) so make sure to buy one quick if you really want it, and mention your name if you want me to dedicate it to you.

Have a nice day,

Claudio.
