I almost died...

Well, not really… but it did feel like it.

I’m currently on vacation in Paris with my wife and daughter. Therefore, I haven’t been posting as actively as usual.

Yes, we’re soaking up the culture and atmosphere of perhaps the most beautiful city in the world. But, my daughter is 6 years old and it was a huge wish of ours to take her to Disneyland.

So we did.

As a matter of fact, I’m right there at this very moment, sipping a caffe au lait next to a Mickey-shaped pain au chocolat.

And why did I almost die? Well, we inadvertently hopped on a roller coaster. And not just any rollercoaster. It’s the worst one I’ve ever been on my whole life!

We thought it was just your average family friendly attraction. But it was a terrible ride with 360 degree loops, supersonic speeds, and to make things even worse, it was completely in the dark so you had no way of knowing what was coming next.

I barely had any time to process it, so I just went on full survival mode. Upon finishing the ride, which seemed like it lasted for hours (but was just about two-minutes long, maybe even shorter), I panicked thinking about how my daughter would’ve taken the ride. But I saw her at my side cheering frenetically saying it was “the best thing that has ever happened in my life.”

I guess 6-year olds are built differently.

This happened yesterday. Today, we’re here again and have hopped on two roller coasters. She can’t get enough of them. We yet have two more to go. Wish me luck…

Have a nice day,

Claudio.
