The “felt” piano.

What about it?

Well, it has become very popular in the past years.

By felt, I don´t mean like in feelings, but like in “piano felt”. That is, a cloth made out of felt material which dampens the piano sound and produces a more intimate (and very beautiful) sound out of the piano.

As a young piano student, I used to practice with a felt on my piano in the early mornings or late evenings so that I wouldn´t disturb anyone. The sound itself of the felt piano has a very special meaning to me.

That´s why I´ve created 4 volumes of “Pocket Piano”, a series of 4 EPs (extended play releases, or short albums) recorded on a beautiful felt piano.

The second one has been released today, and it´s dedicated to a rather sad theme: Heartbreak. So you can expect some short, heart-piercing piano pieces with melodies intended to comfort the soul.
