French Accordion

I always believed that everything, absolutely everything, could be explained with proper knowledge.

Unfortunately, I also think we´re not equipped with the tools to understand everything.

As an extremely curious person who lives off his creativity, this is a great disappointment which sometimes might even lead to light depressive states.

I guess it has to do with the fact that I can´t control everything.

I don´t consider myself a control freak at all, but I certainly have some traits of one, every now and then.

Thousands of years ago humans believed thunder might be a punishment from god, fire might have appeared supernatural (it does seem a bit supernatural, doesn´t it?), and people believed human sacrifices were necessary to make amends with the gods.

Nowadays, the science we´re familiar with challenges these concepts, but there are plenty of concepts most of us (sometimes all of us) can’t fully grasp.

Like the relativity of time. Or the existence of more than three dimensions.

Some of us (not me though) can understand the theory behind them. But they can´t actually experience it. So the ultimate and most important bit of knowledge, the human experience, is lacking from that equation.

It’s funny how thoughts can lead to unexpected places. I just wanted to explain why I named my last video “French Accordion” when I don’t play accordion, but bandoneon.

There’s a science behind it which fortunately we can understand: the algorithm.

I just want the most amount of people to listen to my music and fall in love with my instrument, the bandoneon.

But, most people think it’s an accordion (I’ll explain the differences in some other post).

And, there are more Youtube searches for the term accordion, than for bandoneon.

Therefore, it’s more likely that my video will appear on your feed if you’ve ever searched for anything accordion-related. When you add “French” to it, it directs it to a specific type of music which also helps the algorithm. You see, everything can be explained. Though this is a much simplified explanation…

I felt like sharing this “secret” with you since sometimes I get silly remarks about my (sometimes silly) titles in my videos. So, now you know.

I can’t expect you to figure out the mysteries of the universe, but I can offer you a new video of French bandoneon music, just uploaded. Click here to watch it.

Enjoy, and have a great day.

Claudio.
