Discovering Music
I know, I know… I´ve been away, yes. And for a long time.
But now, I´m back. I won´t say much else about it for now. Only that I´ve had the time and space to reflect on the past, present, and I´ve got a clearer idea of how to pave the way for my future.
Meanwhile, I´ll share this thought I had today:
As musicians, one of our jobs is not only to discover the music we play, but also to discover ourselves in the process.
This applies, of course, to all arts.
Art is therapeutic in the sense that it makes us look inward.
Unfortunately, not everyone gets the chance to develop a sensitivity for looking deep inside and discovering what makes them the way they are. It´s a long-term process that not everybody engages in.
But art; it has special powers.
If only for a moment, it makes you live in the skin of others, feel their pain, their joy, their sorrow.
Why?
Because you feel it too.
You recognize it.
You´ve also been through that pain, that joy, that sorrow.
And for a brief and miraculous moment in time, you become part of the same vibration. You understand each other. You become a more open and compassionate being.
Yes, art is powerful. And necessary.
More than ever, I´m convinced that through art, specifically music, I´ve found the best way that I can contribute something meaningful to others.
And it´s my duty to keep discovering myself through art so that I can share something meaningful and connect with others on a deeper, more fundamental level.
And by the way, I´m excited to announce my upcoming solo tour: Fragile.
More on that tomorrow.
Have a nice day,
Claudio.
