A celebration of music

The Partita bwv.1006 by Johann Sebastian Bach is one of those works that has become famous mostly because of one small part of it, particularly the brilliant Prelude.

And I´m not surprised, its effervescent opening catches your attention immediately and puts you in a good mood right away, unfolding in a seamless display of virtuosity and melodic inventiveness.

But the rest of the suite is just as wonderful.

Originally written for violin solo, it´s the last of his set of six sonatas and partitas for the instrument which, as a whole, is one of the most important contributions to Western music.

Personally, it´s one of my favorites.

That´s why I´ve just released the whole suite, adapted for solo bandoneon.

Enjoy, and have a great day!

Claudio.
