Carrousel
The first time my daughter took a ride on a Carousel, I was probably more afraid than she was.
Her tiny arms couldn´t even reach the horse´s saddle, so I picked her up, sat her on the wooden stallion, and off we went.
I guess I thought she might be intimidated by the size and appearance of the sculpted beasts, or by the speed of the merry-go-round in action.
But no, she was thrilled.
What a moment.
There´s something about the wind blowing my hair while watching her feel the freedom of riding… she was literally almost flying, her eyes wide open and her smile from cheek to cheek.
I was also flying, only not literally. If you´ve ever lived a similar moment, you probably know what I mean.
In my piece Carrousel, I tried musically describing this moment. I´ve released it today, here is the link. I hope you enjoy it.
Have a nice day,
Claudio.
