Brahms
Brahms is my favorite composer.
There, I said it.
When you ask a classical musician who is his favorite composer, usually they´ll reply with an obvious answer:
“It´s too difficult to decide.”
“They´re all great.”
And they´re right.
I definitely wouldn´t say that Brahms is a better composer than Bach, Mozart, or Beethoven (or others).
But this isn´t at all about being better. It´s about what stirs you inside the most.
Everyone has got a composer, or a work that does that effect greater than others.
For me, it is Brahms.
The amount of passion in his music is only equaled by the perfection of his craftsmanship. Everything he´s composed that I´ve ever heard (and believe me, I´ve heard it all) is nothing short of great.
And yes, I can say exactly the same about Bach, and Beethoven, and Chopin, and a few others…
But…
If I have to choose one for the rest of my life, it´s Brahms.
I don´t know why.
Don’t ask me any more questions.
Just listen to THIS.
Enjoy, and have a great day.
Claudio.
P.D. Brahms's birthday would´ve been today, 7th of May. Only, he died 127 years ago…
