The best-seller

A great marketing strategist who I like to read very much, Seth Godin, said something remarkable that influenced the way I see and treat the reach of my music to people around the world.

His books have been best-sellers several times, even staying at #1 for weeks on the New York Times best-seller list.

Yet, he says that not even 1% of the population in the United States (where he lives) have read his books or probably even know his name.

A best-seller!

What that means is that even with an apparently minimal reach, we can influence a whole lot of people with our actions or our products.

This week I saw my analytics on Instagram and it says that my videos have reached over 5 million people in the last month. Just on that platform!

I try imagining 5 million people together. It´s about the amount of people that live in my city Madrid, the capital of Spain.

The best part of that is that I get to share what I believe is something meaningful with a whole lot of people. And still, 5 million is a very small number when you think of how many people there are…
