It arrived and there´s no going back now.
Summer has arrived in Madrid.
Lively streets. Unbearable heat. Terraces full of gossiping tables, beers, and tapas.
I used to look forward to summers in Madrid. For some reason, I loved the extreme heat.
Bear in mind that I had been living for 8 years in The Netherlands and previously for 4 years in Finland. Not precisely very warm countries, with respect to weather. Any ray of sun was welcome in my life after those cold 12 years.
But now, well, the heat has got the better of me.
Nowadays, I spend most of my time at my studio at home.
No friends, no social life, no beers. Just family and my work: music.
And it gets HOT in my studio. I spend countless hours working there, every single day. Last summer I had 2 heat strokes and was unable to work (or stand up) for 3 days. Each time.
Maybe I’ll try finding a couple of days to go somewhere cooler with my family and avoid Madrid´s hell. Of course, I´ll keep on working wherever I go.
By the way, here is how a Summer in Buenos Aires would sound:
It´s a composition by Astor Piazzolla but I did a virtuoso piano arrangement of it. You can get the sheet music in the same link, in case you´re a virtuoso pianist or want to gift it to one.
And yes, the title is translated to “Summer in Buenos Aires”.
How hot does it get where you live? Maybe it´s not even summer there yet
Anyways, I wish you avery nice day. Not too warm, neither too cold.
Claudio.
