6 Million Streams—For the Music I Almost Never Shared

Sixteen years ago, while I was studying in Paris, I used to wander the city a lot. I’d walk with no real destination, just taking in the atmosphere—its rhythm, its sounds, the way the light hit the old buildings.

And in those moments, melodies would come to me.

Nothing too serious, just little ideas inspired by whatever I was feeling that day.

I wrote a bunch of them down, but I never really thought they were worth much. They felt too simple, too modest. I figured nobody would care, so I just kept them to myself.

But for some reason, I never forgot them. They stayed with me, like old photographs you find years later and realize they meant more than you thought at the time.

Last year, I finally decided to record and release them as An Imaginary Soundtrack, just for the sake of letting them out into the world.

I didn’t expect much.

And now, somehow, those little pieces—those forgotten sketches from another time—have been played over 6 million times!

It’s a strange and beautiful feeling. Some of these pieces are waltzes, others just quiet reflections, but they all came from that same place: moments of inspiration that I thought would fade away. Instead, they’ve found a home with so many of you.

So, thank you. For listening, for connecting, for proving me wrong in the best way possible.

The physical CDs are sold out and there is no reissue planned, but you can always listen to the album on any of your preferred streaming platforms if you´d like. Here is the link to Spotify.

Have a nice day,

Claudio.
