1 Million

One million of anything is a lot.

Except for perhaps a million atoms, not much to us. The amount of atoms we have in our bodies is seven billion billion billion atoms.

But when it comes to views, that´s a lot.

Video views, to be exact.

Little did I know half a year ago that a video I made for YouTube would surpass 1 million views, a very unusual number for a classical music video. And even more for a video with a bandoneon. I personally don´t know any other bandoneon YouTube video with so many views (if you do, please let me know!)

The video in question is of course, Bach´s Toccata and Fugue in d minor which I´ve probably performed a million times by now, and which I´ve recorded several times, including the viral video on YouTube.

Makes me think of all the times I´ve heard that Classical Music is irrelevant or that no one listens to it.

Well, that´s just not true my friends.

Sure, there are other much more popular music genres and authors, but have they been around for 300+ years?

I doubt that many of them have.

By no means am I trying to diminish their importance. I´m just trying to make you think of the fact that Bach´s music is over 300 years old! And millions of people worldwide still listen to it!

Isn´t that just amazing!???

Thanks for watching and listening to my recordings. If you want to see that video again, or if you haven´t seen it yet, here´s your chance.

Enjoy, and have a great day.

Claudio.
